Cassie is a hot mess. Jo is playing it cool. When a sleepover erupts with a phone-call break-up, two women get ready to light it up and burn it down.
Through raging reflections cathartic cooking shows, and treadmill therapy, these best friends must face the realities of their romantic relationships and the toxic truth behind them.
An upbeat, queer and honest exploration of consent, self-love and healing. Cassie and Jo invite you into their rom-com gone wrong. And who knows... maybe you need to break up with your boyfriend too.
Performed at Pleasance Beside at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
To ensure a safe and supportive atmosphere that allows us to tackle difficult content and foster meaningful engagement between audience and artist, we have introduced the Burn Book. At the end of every show, we offer the opportunity to acknowledge those scary things held too tightly to our chests. In a book that only Abbie and Rebekah will read, every audience member has the chance to write the truths that need to be told. We will read them. We will believe them. And at the end of the run, we will burn them. Is there something you’re holding onto? "You let it out honey, put it in the book." In addition, we are proud to offer relaxed performances throughout the entire run, allowing audience members to enter and exit freely, utilize our show information pack, move around the space, and express themselves audibly as needed.

The Zine
There was so much more we wanted to say about the show, so we’ve made a zine filled to the absolute brim with stuff.
